SnapStream Media, Inc., a leading developer of digital entertainment products, announced today the relaunch of its award-winning personal video recording (PVR) software. Beyond TV 3 (formerly Personal Video Station) gives users the same great features that they have always enjoyed, and adds a number of new features as well.

These new features include SmartSkip(tm), Canadian TV Listings, ShowSqueeze(tm) and a redesigned user interface.

The new SmartSkip(TM) feature makes it simple for users to skip through different segments of a recorded broadcast, such as commercials and other parts of TV shows, at the touch of a button. It functions similar to the chapters feature on a DVD and allows users to make better use of their viewing time.

Beyond TV 3 also expands into the Canadian market in this version with integrated TV listings for the Canadian market. Canadian users now enjoy an integrated and free EPG with features such as the ability to 'record all episodes' and 'record only new episodes' and scheduling remote recordings from any any web browser or WAP-enabled mobile phone.

The ShowSqueeze feature in Beyond TV 3 makes recording management easier for its users, by offering the option to automatically recompress recorded MPEG-2 shows into either Windows Media or DivX format. With ShowSqueeze, users can store two to three times more shows within the same available hard disk space.

Finally, the re-designed Beyond TV user interface (UI) includes a 'Search by Title' feature, new animations and special effects, mouse support and easier configuration -- all within Beyond TV's award-winning ViewScape(tm) interface. And in addition to controlling Beyond TV with a PC remote control or a keyboard, users can now control Beyond TV with a mouse.

SnapStream Media will showcase Beyond TV at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2004 in Las Vegas. SnapStream can be seen at:
- ShowStoppers Media Reception, Thursday January 8, 2004
- Hauppauge Computer Works Booth #20505 (South Hall)
- ADS Technology Booth #19056 (South Hall)
