MEDIA CENTER PC NEWSJune 3rd 2005 ASUS Graphics Card With Wireless TV-Out
This would free up the need for your media center PC and your TV to be adjacent. The term wireless doesn't appear to be strictly true as the card still needs to have a wire connected to the TV-Out port, which has the wireless transmitter attached to it. But who's complaining? Not us. This seems like a great idea and one that we'll watch closely over the next few months. ASUS quote a range of up to 100m in an open space with a line of sight, over four channels at 2.4GHz. In your living room, where line of sight won't be doable, you will only need a range of 5-10 metres, which this card should be more than capable of. Source: BitTech.net |
