eMachines have released the T6520 budget Media Center PC.

Offered at an attractive price of only $599.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate, the eMachines T6520 is bundled with XP Media Center Edition 2005.

Complementing the software, the system is packed with all the technology usually found in systems costing close to $1,000. The PC's AMD Athlon 64 3400+ processor provides 64-bit processing for leading-edge performance today and in the future. The system also provides outstanding graphics performance thanks to the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 graphics, support for DirectX 9.0 and an available PCI Express x16 slot for any potential future graphics upgrade. It comes with a 200GB hard drive running at 7200 RPM with 2MB cache for maximum performance when accessing and storing digital media files. The surprisingly large 1GB DDR SDRAM further boosts the system's performance. The system also features an 8-in-1 media card reader and two optical drives - a 16x double-layer multi-format DVD±RW drive and a CD-ROM drive - for music, video, and data recording and playback.

"The turbo-charged eMachines T6520 delivers the best value in Media Center PCs available today -- and it can be found right away at leading retailers," said Marc Demars, senior director, desktop product marketing. "Families and students will enjoy the many entertainment and learning benefits of the new eMachines T6520 Media Center PC."
