The Register has revealed that Evesham has won the right to distribute the Mac Mini-alike AOpen Mini PC in the UK.

Despite frequent claims to the contrary, it's fairly obvious that the AOpen PC is aimed squarely at the Mac Mini market with its almost identical (and rather nice) styling.

The PC ships with Intel's 2GHz Pentium M 760 processor on a 915GM chipset, 512MB of 333MHz DDR 2 SDRAM, an 80GB HDD and a dual-layer DVD-RW drive.

In true mini-PC style there is no mouse, keyboard or monitor.

All of this will set you back £699 which is quite a bit more than the top of the range Mac Mini at £499.

Realising that this setup will appeal to media center fans, Evesham will ship the PC with Windows XPMCE, but alas a TV tuner is optional and external.
