SAMSUNG also showcased one of the most sophisticated Yepp players ever, the YH-999, an all-in-one multi-media device and one of the first highly anticipated Portable Media Center devices. Designed to play audio and video contents anytime, anywhere, it is both thin and light at 3.8 x 4.2 x 0.8 inches and 7.9 ounces. In addition to playing and storing high-quality WMA and MP3 music files in its spacious 20GB storage, the product also plays Windows Media Video (WMV) files at 320 x 240 resolution and 700 kbps. Its 400 Mhz PXA 255 CPU will ensure a smooth playback of media files on its stunning 3.5-inch, 320 x 240 trans-reflective TFT LCD screen. YH-999 also features an embedded composite video output port to connect the device to a TV for content playback. Even large media video files can be transferred in a matter of minutes via its USB 2.0 connection. SAMSUNG also announces the YP-860 Yepp Sports HDD model, combining full MP3 functionality with innovative health-monitoring features. In addition to the 1.5GB HDD for media storage, the YP-860 has an integrated FM radio and supports MP3, WMA and AFS music files. More than an MP3 player, it includes a heart-rate monitor, calorie counter and stopwatch, making it a perfect workout companion. The lightweight YP-860 is splash proof and is bundled with an armband for easy mobility. |
