MEDIA CENTER PC NEWSFebruary 8th 2006 Cannon PC Release AMD Media Center for $1,295The FX Series Media Center is housed in a sleek low profile living room style case that is available in black and silver finish. The case measures only 17 X 4 X 16 inches so it is small and inconspicuous and will fit nicely in any living room or A/V cabinet. The FX series is designed to run cool and quiet so low-noise high air volume CPU and ventilation fans can barley been heard. It has a dual line VFD on the front to provide visual information about the media center or to display your favorite RSS feed. Concealed behind a drop down door is the dual layer DVD writer (standard with this model). Also behind the drop down door are 2 USB ports, 1 fire wire (1394a), 1 microphone and 1 head phone jacks. The system comes standard with AMD 3000+ processor, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB hard drive, dual layer DVD writer, 1 NTSC analog TV tuner, 6 Channel audio, 400 watt power supply, Microsoft Media Center Remote, Microsoft Media Center keyboard and built in ATI Integrated graphics with DVI connection. All Cannon PC Media Centers are powered by Microsoft's Windows XP Media Center 2005 operating system and each system is fully customizable to fit the needs of any user. The starting price as configured is $1,295. Cannon PC will be releasing a complete line of AMD Media Centers in early February.
