If you want a Shuttle based Media Center 2005 machine but don't want the hassle of building one yourself the Shuttle G5 8300M is a very good starting point, being pleassingly designed, well featured and speedy in use.

For the same price you can pick up a non-Media Center PC with better hardware and a monitor, mouse and keyboard. However, if you're looking for a compact, quiet Windows Media Center PC, the XPC is a good choice.

Shuttle's shoe-box-size entertainment PC, the XPC G5 8300MC can fit into spaces where larger units would never go. It's not very expandable, however.
